Queen Haven in Tell Your Tale

Queen Haven is a female Pegasus pony, one of the three secondary antagonists (alongside Phyllis Cloverleaf and Alphabittle Blossomforth) of My Little Pony: A New Generation, a major protagonist in My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale and a supporting protagonist in My Little Pony: Make Your Mark. She is the queen of the metropolitan Pegasus city of Zephyr Heights, the mother of Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals, the owner of Cloudpuff and the girlfriend of Alphabittle.

Appearance[]

She has a dusty lilac coat, periwinkle mane with lilac streaks flipped to the side and braided at the back, a long tail and blue, thin eyebrows. She has mauve hooves, indigo-to-periwinkle wings, and icy blue eyes with lavender eye shadow. Her cutie mark is a gold crown over two purple wings.

She wears a dark purple vest, a golden necklace with a turquoise gem in the middle and a golden crown with the turquoise pegasus crystal in the center.

After the events of the movie, she wears a new crown, with a purple crystal shaped similar to the pegasus crystal in the center.

History[]

My Little Pony: A New Generation[]

In the film, Queen Haven appears as the queen of the Pegasus city of Zephyr Heights, along with her princess daughters Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm. She first appears "flying" down into the throne room after Sunny Starscout and Izzy Moonbow are captured and brought before; she is shocked to see an Earth pony and unicorn in Zephyr Heights and orders their immediate imprisonment in the palace dungeon. Zipp later releases them, and after learning Pegasi are unable to fly due to the lack of magic in Equestria, they work together to steal the Pegasus Unity Crystal from Queen Haven's crown.

When the three steal the crystal during Pipp's concert and the public learns that the royal family lied about being able to fly, Queen Haven is arrested while her daughters escape with Sunny, Izzy, and Hitch Trailblazer to obtain the other Unity Crystals. Haven later breaks out of prison to find her daughters, reuniting with them in the unicorn village of Bridlewood and resulting in a three-way confrontation with Alphabittle and the unicorns. When Sunny and Izzy join the Pegasus and Unicorn Crystals together, expecting magic to return, nothing happens, and a disappointed Sunny returns the Pegasus Crystal to Haven.

Later, Queen Haven follows Pipp and Zipp to Maretime Bay to convince them to return home, and gets swept up in Sprout's destructive plot to wage war against unicorns and Pegasi. At one point during the ensuing battle, Queen Haven saves Alphabittle by pushing him out of the way of Sprout's tank. After the destruction of Sunny's lighthouse home, Queen Haven puts aside her prejudices to make peace with the Earth ponies and unicorns, causing magic to return.

My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale[]

Season 1[]

Queen Haven makes several supporting and background appearances in My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, which is set after the events of A New Generation. In Sisters Take Flight, she sees Pipp and Zipp off with a grand send-off celebration before they move from Zephyr Heights to Maretime Bay. In Zipp Gets Her Wings, she encourages a younger Zipp as she learns how to fly. In Clip Trot, she appears watching the Mane Five's ClipTrot video of the Pony Hip Hop. In Queen for a Day, she lets Pipp and Zipp take over her royal duties for Mares' Day. In On Your Cutie Marks, she represents Zephyr Heights for the first Equestria Games since the pony races reunited, encouraging Sunny alongside Alphabittle when the ponies' competitiveness gets the better of them.

In One Trick Pony, Queen Haven considers Rufus to guard her crown jewels, but he makes the jewels disappear with his stage magic. In My Bananas, Haven briefly appears laughing over Sunny's viral bananas video. In Starscout Code, she helps the Mane Five reassemble Argyle Starshine's long-lost quilt. In Puphunt, Haven goes hysterical when her pet, Cloudpuff, goes missing, triggering an Equestria-wide search. In Sneaksy Strikes Again, Haven has a mural painted by "Sneaksy" (Izzy's secret artist identity) relocated to Zephyr Heights.

In Making a Meal of It, Queen Haven celebrates Harvest and Hugs Day with her daughters and their friends. In A Day in the Life, she briefly appears watching Pipp's 24 hour livestream. In Firework-ing Together, she watches the Grand Unity Fireworks Display with everypony in Bridlewood. In Sunny's Smoothie Moves, she appears getting a mane-styling at Mane Melody as Sunny's smoothie-mixing robot goes haywire. In The Hunt for Eggmund Bunny, she deals with a missing Eggmund Bunny with the rest of Zephyr Heights.

In Mare Family Mare Problems, Queen Haven is revealed to be in a romantic relationship with Alphabittle, creating tension with her daughters. When Haven invites Alphabittle to join the three of them for the Mares' Day activities Pipp and Zipp had planned, he unintentionally ruins every activity, causing Pipp and Zipp to snap at him in anger. When Haven admonishes her daughters for their behavior, they apologize to Alphabittle, and they end the day having a picnic together. In Moon Festival, Haven leads the festivities for the eponymous event.

In Equestria's Got Talent, Queen Haven auditions for Sunny's show, but doesn't make the cut. Though she and many others join in later on. In Snow Business Like Show Business, she and Alphabittle are seen leaving the Maretime Bay cinema after watching the movie based on the events of Secrets of Starlight.

Season 2[]

In P + P = BFFs, Haven can be seen riding a ferris wheel alongside Alphabittle. In Swing and a Misty, she, Alphabittle, Zipp, Pipp, Misty Brightdawn and Cloudpuff all go on a camping trip together. In The Water Park, she attends the Boardtrot's newly-created water park alongside Alphabittle and Cloudpuff. When the water park disappears, Haven is annoyed that falling into the ocean has ruined her mane.

My Little Pony: Make Your Mark[]

Chapter 1[]

In Make Your Mark, Queen Haven calls Zipp's phone frequently to tell her to move back to Zephyr Heights so she can continue her grooming to become queen. When Zipp tells Haven about the Maretime Bay Day celebration, Haven decides to attend. Near the end of the special, after Earth ponies, unicorns, and Pegasi come together to save Maretime Bay from destruction, Haven allows Zipp to stay in Maretime Bay when she finds her calling as a magic investigator.

Chapter 2[]

In Portrait of a Princess, Haven gets together with Pipp and Zipp for Royal Portrait Day at the Zephyr Heights palace; she spends much of the episode receiving beauty treatments at Pipp's Mane Melody salon while Pipp and Zipp search for a rare Ocean Lily flower, and she sings the song Pony Love at Sunny Starscout's urging. At the end of the episode, Haven and her daughters pose for a portrait.

Chapter 3[]

In Winter Wishday, Queen Haven briefly gets together with Pipp and Zipp for the Pegasus winter holiday of Wishentine; they go window shopping together, and Haven later watches Pipp and Zipp perform in the Royal Zephyr Heights Carousel Concert.

Chapter 4[]

In The Jinxie Games, a missed brunch appointment leads Pipp and Zipp to find Haven having a date with Alphabittle at his tea shop and addressing him as "Alphie" (to their dismay). Haven confesses that she feels lonely at the palace since her daughters have left, and sought companionship with Alphabittle.

In The Manesquerade Ball, Queen Haven attends the eponymous masquerade party, believing that her mask makes her unrecognizable.

In A Little Horse, Sunny approaches Haven, seeking to learn the recipe for the soup she used to make for Pipp whenever she got sick. Haven eventually confesses that she actually bought the soup from a stand in Zephyr Heights.

Chapter 5[]

In Cutie Blossom Bash, Haven greets Sunny and her friends as they bring Misty to Zephyr Heights so she can celebrate getting her cutie mark.

In Family Trees, Haven visits Alphabittle in Bridlewood. She suggests that Alphabittle open a second tea shop in Zephyr Heights so they can see each other more often, but Alphabittle refuses, saying he needs to stay in Bridlewood "in case". The two are later led to the Breezie Night Market and encounter Sunny and her friends. Haven learns that Alphabittle does not want to leave Bridlewood in case his long-lost daughter Misty returns. Haven then witnesses as Alphabittle and Misty reunite. She also gets angry when she learns Pipp and Zipp went to the Dragon Lands.

Haven makes a brief appearance at the beginning of Father of the Bridlewood, having to return to Zephyr Heights for royal business.

Chapter 6[]

In Roots of All Evil, Queen Haven has her cutie mark stolen by Opaline Arcana. She is also seen watching with horror as Opaline overpowers Hitch and steals his cutie mark with her daughters. She later joins everypony else in singing in support of Sunny, and regains her cutie mark upon Opaline's defeat.

Personality[]

Queen Haven is portrayed as a proud and posh figure of royalty; she loves the attention she receives, and she has a healthy sense of humor. She cares deeply about her subjects, wanting to keep them happy even if it means lying to them, and she values her daughters above all else, willing to sacrifice her own freedom for their sake. Haven appears to have a closer relationship with Pipp than with Zipp; while she and Pipp share many character traits, Haven's relationship with Zipp is somewhat strained. She sometimes addresses Zipp by her proper name "Zephyrina" rather than the nickname Zipp prefers, and her desire for Zipp to become queen one day is a common point of contention for them. Despite this, Haven cares very much for Zipp and is shown to only want her to be happy. She also dotes very much on her pet puppy Cloudpuff.

Haven is initially very fearful of and prejudiced toward other pony races, as demonstrated when she immediately has Sunny and Izzy imprisoned just for being inside Zephyr Heights. By the end of A New Generation, however, she starts to move past her Earth pony and unicorn prejudices, and she even warms up to Alphabittle over time, eventually engaging in a romantic relationship with him.
