Jazz Hooves is a female Earth pony and supporting character in My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale and My Little Pony: Make Your Mark. She is a resident of the seaside Earth pony town of Maretime Bay, working as a singer/hooficurist/pedicurist at Pipp Petals' Mane Melody beauty salon. She is Rocky Riff's love interest.
Personality[]
Jazz is kind, friendly and modest, and she'll always help her friends when they need her. Jazz is also stylish and creative with her hooficure designs. She's unsure of her ability to create at first, but after Izzy Moonbow's help, she starts creating all kinds of designs for her customers. She also makes tutorial videos on hoof polishing.
Appearance[]
She is a light turquoise Earth pony with teal eyes and coral pink hooves. She has a wavy light red tail. She also has a light red forelock as well as a longer portion of her mane that fades to magenta, with an orange hair tie close to the end. She wears a pink bandolier. In Make Your Mark, Jazz's ears are almost always hidden by her mane, whereas her ears are visible through her mane in Tell Your Tale.
Her cutie mark is a purple nail polish brush crossing through a pink horseshoe.

Season 1[]
My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, which is set after the events of My Little Pony: A New Generation, marks Jazz Hooves' first appearance in Generation 5, and she makes multiple supporting and background appearances in the series. In Welcome to Mane Melody, she appears styling ponies' manes and singing Let Out Your Light. In The Unboxing of Izzy, she briefly appears painting with Posey Bloom and Delightful Trifle. In Clip Trot, she helps Pipp record her rendition of the Bunny Hip Hop for ClipTrot. In It's T.U.E.S. Day, she reluctantly gives a hooficure to Izzy's inanimate friend Señor Butterscotch. In Maretime Bay Day 2.0, she appears in a recorded video on Pipp's computer making cotton candy with Fifi. In Alicorn Issues, she helps give Sunny Starscout a makeover.
In On Your Cutie Marks, Jazz takes part in the first Equestria Games since the pony races reunited. In All That Jazz, Jazz struggles to find inspiration for new hooficure designs, and Izzy helps her find a new muse. In Nightmare Night Party, she wears a hodgepodge of different costume pieces to Pipp's costume party/fashion show. In Baby Critters Club, Jazz babysits the Mane Five's critter friends while they are out at a fancy dinner party. In Filly Filling, she takes part in Maretime Bay's first annual pie-eating contest. In A Day in the Life, she sings and dances along to Every New Day (Is the Best Day Ever). In Firework-ing Together, she helps look for Glory and Seashell and watches the Grand Unity Fireworks Display with everyone in Bridlewood. In Bridlewood Spog, she serves food at Pipp's beauty product launch party.
In Sunny's Smoothie Moves, she gets covered in smoothie flavors by Sunny's smoothie-mixing robot after it goes haywire. In Opaline Alone, she appears in a hooficure tutorial video. In Ponytropico, she appears in an online advertisement for the Ponytropico resort. In I've Seen Fire and I've Seen Rain(Bows), she hears Pipp's story of the Mane Five's fight with Opaline Arcana. In Bridlewoodstock, she gets a makeover from the Mane Four. In Diva and Conquer, she watches Hitch Trailblazer and Sparky Sparkeroni perform. In Hot Day, Huh?, she gives Fifi a hooficure, sees Zipp Storm and Misty Brightdawn at the beach and builds a sandcastle with Pipp.
Season 2[]
In Jazz Hearts Rocky, Jazz is shown to have developed a crush on Rocky, and with some help from Pipp and her friends, manages to ask him out. In Bunnisi Beauties, she and Rocky are overwhelmed with the effort of styling multiple bunnisi for an Easter celebration. In P + P = BFFs, Jazz is seen riding on a boat with Rocky.

Jazz appears working at Mane Melody usually seen with Pipp or Rocky.
Chapter 1[]
In Make Your Mark, she gives a hooficure to a ticklish Hitch and performs Everything is Gonna Be Okay alongside Pipp and Rocky.
Chapter 2[]
In Izzy Does It, Jazz observes as Pipp struggles to come up with a new song. In Growing Pains, she and her fellow Earth ponies deal with their out of control plant magic after Hitch places restrictions on its use. In Portrait of a Princess, Jazz welcomes Queen Haven to Mane Melody and gives her a hooficure. In Ali-Conned, she helps Pipp attract more attention on social media when her viewership numbers start to dwindle. She is briefly seen in Hoof Done It? when Misty ducks into Mane Melody in an attempt to hide from Zipp.
Chapter 3[]
In Winter Wishday, Jazz briefly appears celebrating Winter Wishday with the rest of the ponies of Maretime Bay.
Chapter 4[]
In Bridlewoodstock, Jazz and Rocky work as the stylists for the music festival. They also help the Dreamlands rehearse in Mane Melody before the main event started.
She makes a cameo appearance in Top Remodel during With Each Other.
In Sunny Side Up, Jazz is one of the audience of the show "Sunny Side Up".
In The Manesquerade Ball, Jazz and Rocky help the Mane Five with makeups and got invited to the Manesquerade Ball too. Later at the ball, Jazz and Rocky help with the music for the unity dance.
Chapter 5[]
In Mane Smelody, she struggles with being honest with Pipp about how her new hoof polish smells terrible. In Nightmare on Mane Street, she and Rocky get very competitive about winning a Nightmare Night contest.
Chapter 6[]
In The Isle of Scaly, Opaline has Jazz's cutie mark in her collection of stolen cutie marks. In Roots of All Evil, she is among the ponies of Maretime Bay panicking over Opaline's corruption of the Together Trees. She is then present when the Mane Six arrived back to Maretime Bay atop dragons and pointed to the Together Tree, explaining to Sunny and her friends that Opaline has attacked Maretime Bay in their absence, realizing that she found a way into Twilight Sparkle's protection spell. She is later seen joining alongside everypony singing in support of Sunny, and regains her cutie mark upon Opaline's defeat.
